The Baku Transport Agency has launched a pilot project to manage parking on the streets of the capital. Initially, reconstruction work is being carried out on the streets of Basti Baghirov, Mohammed Nakhchivani and the streets crossing them covered by the project. The principles of increasing pedestrian orientation in accordance with modern urban planning rules are also taken into account in the area intended for organizing parking spaces.

The previous condition of Basti Bagirov Street, where the pilot project is currently being implemented, was unsatisfactory. The instability of the sidewalks and the state of the road infrastructure in general made the area inaccessible to drivers and pedestrians.

According to the new project, to bring this 450-meter street to an ideal level, a pedestrian crossing will be organized in 6 places. In addition to residential buildings, this street, which also houses 1 hospital, 1 college and 1 kindergarten, will have 138 parking spaces based on traffic. The current project includes other activities, which is a manifestation of a sound approach to work. Given the ongoing construction work on the street, we ask drivers and pedestrians to be careful on this road and understand the temporary difficulties in the area. The work is scheduled to be completed within 3 months.
